    Why do you need the Faraday Box?

    Most keyless fobs carry identification chips that pick up radio signals sent out by their car. The vehicle recognizes the fob when it's in range and unlocks the doors. Keyless ignition systems work in the same way - enabling cars to start when the key fob is detected in the cabin. Criminals can exploit this via a wireless relay attack. Using a radio frequency relay booster, it's possible to pick up and then transmit a key fob signal to trick the car into thinking a fob is present. This enables entry and theft from the cabin or boot - and, in the case of keyless ignition systems, theft of the vehicle itself. Thanks to its 100% signal jamming capability, TICONN faraday box can completely isolate your fob to make such attacks impossible.

    How does the TICONN Faraday Box work?

    Our faraday box make your cars safe by stopping signals being sent or received by your key fob or any other device containing data. Remove your key from the faraday bag and signal reception is restored immediately, enabling normal usage.

    When I got the box I put my keys in it and walked out to my car. Nothing. Opened the box and I was able to open the car door. Got into the car, closed the box and was not able to start the car. So, now instead of just having my key and spare key just around, I put both keys in the box. Done. BTW, there was a slight imperfection in the construction on the right edge of the lid, nothing major, not even really enough to return. Otherwise, product works as described.

    Happy with this, and seems to work well, but I was testing with box in the car, and put the fob in the box, then tried to get out of the car, and the neighborhood got some horn blasts at night.

    Tested several times with key in box next to car (SUV) and could not open door, as is supposed to be.

    My bedroom is right above where my car is parked outside, and I was afraid somebody could roll up with an amplifier, and steal my car with stuff in it. I keep the key fob in the box to prevent that.

    This is good size, but the envelope type were too small, and tight, and the folding of the envelope type, based on reviews, wears out the shielding. But the folders can be used on a person when running around, but my box needs to stay home because of size (unless traveling).
