[editar | editar la fonte]Riehle nació na ciudá de Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin), fíu de Mary Margaret Walsh (enfermera) y d'Herbert John Riehle (alministrativu de correos).[4] Asistió a la Universidá de Notre Dame.
