Civil naval flag ofItaly(the military naval flag differs from this one in that the coat of arms has a crown on top of it).

Generated inInkscape,based on an image at theWorld Flag Databaseand information atFlags of the World.Tricolour scheme derived fromImage:Flag of Italy.svg.

This flag took me only one day to reconstruct, but it required a profound amount of effort to get all the details into the flag.

This version of the flag, is used for sea usage by commercial ship↑↑.It differs from themilitary versionbecause the lion is bringing a book and not a sword and because there is not a big crown above the emblems of the four ancient maritime republics.
