Serin/treonin-protein kinaza MRCK alfajeenzimtkojeg kod ljudi kodiragenCDC42BPA.[5] Protein kojeg kodira ovaj gen član je porodiceserin/[[treonin proteinkinaza.Ova kinaza sadrži više funkcionalnih domena. Njegovkinaznidomen vrlo je sličan domenuprotein kinazi miotonusne distrofije(DMPK). Ova kinaza također sadrži domen interaktivnog vezanja Rac (CRIB) a pokazano je da veže CDC42. Može funkcionirati kao CDC42 nizvodni efektor, koji posreduje CDC42, induciranim perifernomaktinskomformacijom i promovirajućicitoskeletnureorganizaciju. Opisano je više alternativno spojenih varijanti transkripta, a zabilježena je i priroda cijele dužine dvije od njih.[5]
