Glikoproteinkodiran ovim genom jeantigenćelijske površine koji je eksprimiran u više od 95% ljudskihkarcinom debelog crijeva.Otvoreni okvir čitanjakodira polipeptid od 319 aminokiselina koji ima navodnu sekretornusignalnu sekvencui tri potencijalna mjestaglikozilacije.Predviđeni zreli protein ima vanćelijsku regiju od 213 aminokiselina, jedantransmembranski domeni unutarćelijski rep od 62 aminokiseline. Sekvenca vanćelijskog regiona sadrži dva domena karakteristična za CD2 podgrupu natporodiceimunoglobulina(Ig).[7]
