Klasifikacije

Sastav Streptophyta i sličnih skupina (Streptophytina, Charophyta) varira u svakoj klasifikaciji.^[3]^{[nedostaje referenca]}Neki autori su restriktivniji, uključujući samo Charales i Embryophyta (npr. StreptophytaJeffrey 1967; Adl et al. 2012,StreptophytinaLewis & McCourt 2004), drugi uključuju više grupa (npr. CharophytaLewis & McCourt 2004; Karol i sur. 2009; Adl i dr. 2012,StreptophytaBremer, 1985; de Reviers 2002; Leliaert i dr. 2012,StreptobiontaKenrick & Crane 1997;neki autori koriste ovu širu definiciju, ali isključuju Embryophyta, npr., CharophytaCavalier-Smith 1993;^[4]Leliaert i dr. 2012,CharophyceaeMattox & Stewart, 1984,Streptophycophytesde Reviers, 2002).

Ove ranije klasifikacije nisu uzele u obzir da su seColeochaetophyceaeiZygnemophyceaepojavile u kladusuCharophyceae+Embryophyta,rezultirajući nomenklaturom sinonimne grupePhragmoplastophytai Streptophytina / Streptophyta sensu stricto (Adl 2012).^[5]
