Early life
editButler was born inLos Angeles County,California,on October 13, 1969. He is of half-Japanese and half-Mexican descent, which he refers himself as a "Jap-xican". In the early 1990s, he worked as a receptionist and manager for theSandie Schnarr Talentagency.
Career
editIn 2008, Butler made his first voice acting role as the voice of Sabato Kuroi in the English version of the anime seriesBlade of the Immortal.
In 2020, he provided the dual voice role of Uncle and Bill in the animated filmOver the Moon.[2]He then provided the voice ofShang Tsungin the direct-to-video animated filmMortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge,a role he reprised in its sequelMortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms,where he also voicedCyrax.[3]He is also set to reprise his role in the upcoming third filmMortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind.[4]
For animated television, he voicedCaptain Ackbarin the animated television seriesStar Wars: The Clone Warsin 2011 for three episodes.
