Edmund ter Meer(31 July 1852 – 5 November 1931) was a Germanchemistwho discovered theter Meer reactionand founded in 1877 theter Meer dye companyinUerdingen.After the fusion with the aniline factory of Julius Weiler theWeiler-ter Meercompany was formed. This company later became part of theBayercompany. His sonFritz ter Meeralso became a chemist associated to the Bayer company.
