TheFlorida Strikerswere a soccer team based inFort Lauderdale, Florida.In 1994, they began play in theUnited States Interregional Soccer Leagueas theFort Lauderdale Kicks.The next year, with the folding of theAmerican Professional Soccer LeagueStrikers, the Kicks took the nameFort Lauderdale Strikersfor themselves. This only lasted one year as the team changed names again, becoming theFlorida Strikersbefore the 1996 season. The team folded in 1997.
