2024 United States Senate election in Utah

The2024 United States Senate election in Utahwas held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of theUnited States Senateto represent thestate of Utah.RepublicancongressmanJohn CurtisandDemocraticenvironmentalistCaroline Gleichare seeking their first term in office. The winner will succeed Republican incumbentMitt Romney,who is not seeking a second term.[1][2]

Despite finishing a distant second behind Riverton mayorTrent Staggsat the Utah Republican convention, Curtis won the Republican primary with 49% of the vote over Staggs and former state House speakerBrad Wilson.Gleich won her party's nomination after receiving 93% of vote at the Utah Democratic convention. Democrats have not won a Senate election in Utah since 1970.
