Quach is originally fromHuntington Beach, California,the son of Vietnamese parents, and attendedDana Hills High Schoolwhere he excelled inwrestlingand was a state qualifier. He continued wrestling atCerritos Collegebefore earning a degree fromCal State Fullerton.[3]

Bao Quach agreed to step in forMark Hominickto faceLC DavisatAffliction: Day of Reckoningas Hominick was forced off due to contractingpneumonia.[4]This was Bao's first fight since coming back from his injury which cancelled his 140 lbEliteXCFeatherweight Championship fight withWilson Reisback in September.[5]Quach lost the fight via unanimous decision.
