Benjamin Feldman(born May 27, 1980)[1]is an American actor. Throughout his career, he has undertaken roles on stage, including theBroadwayplayThe Graduate,along with more prominent roles in television series such as his role asJonah Simmsin theNBCsitcomSuperstore(2015–2021),Michael GinsberginMad Men(2012–2014) which earned him aPrimetime Emmy Awardnomination, and Ron LaFlamme inSilicon Valley(2014–2019). He has also played lead characters in films includingThe Perfect Man(2005).

Early life and education

Feldman was born on May 27, 1980, inWashington, D.C.and raised in theChevy Chaseneighborhood.[2]His mother is Marcia Muir Mitchell, a writer,[3][4][5][6]and his father is Robert "Bob" Feldman, who runs a Maryland advertising agency.[7][8]His stepmother is Kris Feldman, a realtor.[9][10]Feldman is from a Jewish family and attendedConservative JewishandOrthodox Jewishsynagogues and schools.[11][12]He has a sister, Morgan Leiter, who works in fashion.[13]His aunt through his stepmother,Susan Feniger,is a chef in Los Angeles.[14]

He was involved in acting camp and school theater from the age of 6. He attendedWinston Churchill High SchoolinPotomac, Marylandand graduated with the class of 1998. He worked as a camp counselor in the theater and taught avideographyclass for several summers inBethesda,and attendedIthaca Collegein Ithaca,New York,where he received aBachelor of Fine Artsin acting.[15]

After graduating, he moved toNew York City,where he performed onBroadwayand eventually moved toLos Angelesto act in film and television.[16]

In 2024, Feldman was nominated for aLogie Awardfor his work on the Stan Australia seriesPopulation 11.[17]

Feldman played Josh Reeves in the TV seriesLiving with Franfor one season in 2005. From 2009 to 2011, he was a regular on the television seriesDrop Dead Divain the role of guardian angelFredbefore leaving the series at the start of the fourth season.[18]In April 2012, he joined the cast ofAMC'sMad Menas a regular, playing the characterMichael Ginsberg.[19]He also appeared as lawyerRon LaFlammeonHBO'sSilicon Valley[20]from 2014 to 2019, and from 2015 to 2021 played the leadJonah Simmsin theNBCsitcomSuperstore.[21]He also producedSuperstorein 2019-2021. In 2021, he began starring as Tylor Tuskmon in Disney'sMonsters at Work.

Feldman lives inLos Angeles.In 2012, he became engaged to Michelle Mulitz.[22]They were married on October 12, 2013, at Smokey Glen Farm inGaithersburg, Maryland.[23][24]The couple have two children; son Charlie Milton, born October, 2017, and daughter Effie, born May, 2019.[25][26]
