Between 1927 and 1930, he won 9capswith theGermany national team,scoring one goal. He was also part of Germany's team at the1928 Summer Olympics,but he did not play in any matches.[1]
At Bayern Munich, Heidkamp earned captaincy of the team in 1932 via victory overEintracht Frankfurtin the final, winning theGerman football championship.He died in 1994 inMunich.
Personal life
editHeidkamp met his wife Magdalene in the spring of 1934, and she nicknamed him "grenadier" because of his shot and accuracy.[2]
