As the title suggests,Coversis a compilation ofcover songs—many of which were previously released onB-Sides & Rarities(2005) and the digital version ofDiamond Eyes(2010).[1]Deftones record cover songs after each album recording session,[2]and the songs onCoversspan their entire career up to that point. The cover ofLynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" was recorded before the group's debut albumAdrenaline(1995) when vocalistChino Morenowas about 17 years old.[3]
