The film unfolds as a tale of two former lovers forced to re-unite for a series of robberies that promise to alter the course of their lives.[4]

editDacoitis the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo.[2]Shruti Haasan,who was initially roped in as the lead, walked out of the film due to creative differences.[5]Mrunal Thakur was announced as the new lead on 17 December, coinciding with Adivi Sesh's birthday.[6]
