Daniel Thomas Frazer(November 20, 1921 – December 16, 2011) was an American actor, born in a West Side neighborhood (formerly known asHell's Kitchen) of Manhattan inNew York City.He was probably best known for his role as Captain Frank McNeil, the former partner turned supervisor of Theo Kojak,Telly Savalas's character, in the 1970sTVpolice dramaKojak.His screen career started in 1950. Frazer served in theSpecial Servicesdivision of theUnited States ArmyduringWorld War II,where he got exposure to theatrical writing and directing.[1][2][3][4]
