Premise
editThe film follows an eight-year-old girl who asks her neighbor for help to kill the monster under her bed who ate her family.[2]

editIn November 2022, it was reported thatBryan Fullerwould produce and direct the "familyhorror film"Dust Bunny,from a script he wrote.Mads Mikkelsensigned on in a lead role.[3]In June 2023,Sigourney Weaverwas reported to be in the cast. She told theNew York Social Diarythat she plays "another person who's not so nice, opposite Mikkelsen".[4]In December 2023, it was announced thatDavid Dastmalchianwas in the film's cast.[5]
Principal photographybegan inBudapestin June 2023.[2]Since the production is not part of theAlliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers,it was granted an interim agreement to continue filming during the2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[6]
