Eric Lowther(born August 31, 1954) is aCanadianpolitician, who represented theelectoral districtofCalgary Centrein theHouse of Commons of Canadafrom 1997 to 2000. Lowther was born inRegina, Saskatchewan.
Lowther, a business manager before entering politics, was first elected in the1997 electionas aReform PartyMP. With the Reform Party merged into theCanadian Alliancein 2000, he stood as the Alliance candidate in the2000 election,but was defeated byProgressive ConservativeleaderJoe Clark.
Lowther ran for theConservative Party of Canadanomination in the electoral district ofWild Rose,but lost toBlake Richards.
