Early life and education
editEvans-Akingbola was born inLondon,to an English anthropologist mother, Gillian Evans,[a]and Nigerian musician father Sola Akingbola (of the bandJamiroquai). She was raised inBermondsey,[2]and educated atAlleyn's SchoolinDulwich,graduatingsixth formin 2012.[1]
She received acting training at theNational Youth Theatre[2][2]She later resumed actor training at theIdentity School of Acting.[3]
Career
editBefore acting professionally, Evans-Akingbola worked as a model.[4]
Her first acting credits were for theBBCseriesHolby City(2014).[5]While appearing on a BBC series,Death in Paradise,[5]Evans-Akingbola was cast in the popularHBOseriesGame of Thrones,[6]as the second wife of Khal Moro duringseason 6in 2016.[4]
Since 2017, she was a main character onSiren,[6]playing marine biologist Madelyn Bishop. She has also directed, co-wrote, and produced a short film calledGrandma's 80th Surpriseand done voiceover work forAssassin's Creedvideo games.[6]
ForNetflix'sBlack Mirror,[6]she appeared in a 2019 episode called "Striking Vipers"as Mariella, a younger Millennial woman dating Karl (played byYahya Abdul-Mateen II), (the co-protagonist), but events suggest her relationship with Karl is quite shallow.[7]
Evans-Akingbola played Special Agent Chelsea Arrington in the 2023 Netflix seriesThe Night Agent.[1]

editEvans-Akingbola is in a relationship with Canadian actor Curtis Lum. The two worked together inSiren(2018–2020) and both appeared in the 2023 season ofThe Night Agent.They became engaged in 2022.
