Greater sciatic foramen

Thegreater sciatic foramenis an opening (foramen) in the posteriorhuman pelvis.It is formed by thesacrotuberousandsacrospinous ligaments.Thepiriformis musclepasses through the foramen and occupies most of its volume. The greater sciatic foramen is wider in women than in men.
