Hank Kanalz(/kəˈnælz/[1]) is an Americancomic book writerand editor. He was the Senior Vice President ofVertigoand Integrated Publishing atDC Comics,[2]and was formerly General Manager of theWildStormbrand for DC Comics. He also serves as Head of Publishing for Immortal Studios,[3]a content provider that specializes in comics and more in thewuxiagenre (martial arts, fantasy).[4]

Biography
editThrough the late 1980s and 1990s, Kanalz wrote various comics for publishers suchDC Comics,and especiallyMalibu Comics.He designed the "i" logo forImage Comics(one of the few intellectual properties of the company),[5]and contributed dialogue and lettering for the first issue of Image's first published comic,Rob Liefeld'sYoungblood.[6]
Prior to joiningWildStormin 2004,[7]he held the position of Director of Worldwide Theme Park Licensing forWarner Bros.[8]
He edited theWorld of Warcraftcomic book as well as co-editing theFringecomic withBen Abernathy.[9]As General Manager for WildStorm, he was responsible for the timely scheduled publication of books.[10]
