Lines graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from theUniversity of Victoria.[1]She has starred in productions at theArts Club Theatre,[2][3]Bard on the Beach,[4][5]Vancouver Playhouse[6]and theBelfry Theatre.She has played inBeyond Eden,The Amorous Adventures of Anatol,A Little Night MusicandHello Dollyat the Vancouver Playhouse.[1]Her stage credits for the Art Club includeIt's a Wonderful Life,The Real Thing,Here on the Flight PathandSylvia.[1]
Lines has received severalJessie Richardson Theatre Awardnominations. She was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Award in 2014 for the category of Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for Small Theatre for her performance inWhose Life Is It Anyway?staged byRealwheels Theatre.[7]Lines has been fascinated byShakespeare's playsfrom an early age.[8]
Lines was praised by theGlobe and Mailfor hergender-bendingportrayal of Horatio in the Bard on the Beach's 2013 staging ofHamlet.[9]TheGeorgia Straighthas praised Lines for both her technical skill and for being "emotionally present" as an actress.[10]The Provincecalls Lines' performance "classic."[11]Vancouver Suncalls Lines one of "Vancouver's brightest stars of the theatre."[12]
