editRothman was born inBaltimore,Maryland,the son of Elizabeth D. (néeDavidson) and Donald N. Rothman, a lawyer.[1][2]He is the brother of film executiveThomas Rothman.[3]
A graduate ofWesleyan Universityand theYale School of Drama,hisBroadwaystage credits includeRichard Nelson'sSome Americans Abroadand the 2007revivalofCraig Lucas'sPrelude to a Kiss. He performed in numerousOff-Broadwayproductions including his own one-person playThe Impossible H. L. Mencken.
