Joseph Sikora(born June 27, 1976) is an American actor best known for his starring role asTommy Eganon theStarzseriesPowerand its subsequent spin-offs and sequels,Power Book II: GhostandPower Book IV: Force,in which he is the protagonist.

Early life
editSikora was born inChicago,Illinois to mother Barbara and father Albin. One of three boys, he lived in the Jefferson Park and Norwood Park neighborhoods. He is of Polish and Dutch descent.[2]He graduated high school fromNotre Dame College Prepin 1994, studied toward aBachelor of Fine Artsin acting atThe Theatre School at DePaul Universityfrom 1994 to 1996, and graduated fromColumbia College Chicagoin 1998.[3][4]
Career
editAs a teenager, Sikora appeared in a McDonald's commercial withMichael Jordanin 1990. He made hisBroadwaydebut in 2006 after he was cast as one of the leads onThe Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.[5]He is also an ensemble member of Chicago's Shattered Globe Theatre Company.
Sikora made his television debut in an episode ofThe New Adam-12after playing extras on a few TV shows. He was cast as Johnny inRudy.After small appearances in TV shows and films such asEarly Edition,Turks,The Watcher,andGhost World,he was cast in two episodes ofThird Watch.
In 2003, Sikora was cast as Roger in thedirect-to-videobiographical-drama filmGacy.After a few appearances in low-budget movies, he was cast in the Golden Globe-nominatedNormal.It was there that he had what he considers his "breakthrough" moment: when the film's star,Tom Wilkinson,told him, "All you have to do is think the line and the camera will read it".[6]
Sikora also appeared onstage. He was part of the Geffen Theatre's production ofFat Pigand the Los Angeles Theatre's production ofKiller Joe.[7]He made many TV appearances between 2005 and 2012, including major network shows such asER,Grey's Anatomy,Criminal Minds,Without a Trace,CSI: Miami,Prison Break,White Collar,Lost,andDollhouse.[8]He appeared the 2007 horror filmNight Skies.
He appeared in two episodes ofLaw & Order: Special Victims Unitin 2010. That year, he also portrayed Hans Schroeder in the HBO seriesBoardwalk Empire,and an orderly at the mental hospital inShutter Island.In 2011, he was in thetelevision pilotforBody of Proof,and had a full role inAdult Swim's comedy horror TV seriesThe Heart, She Holler,as Sheriff. In early 2012, he appeared inSafeas the son of the head of the Russian mafia. He returned to theater in September 2012 withThe Freedom of the City.[9]
In 2012, Sikora appeared in theTom Cruisefeature filmJack Reacheras an Armysniperwrongfully accused of gunning down random people inPittsburgh,who requestsJack Reacher's assistance to prove his innocence.[10]
In October 2013, he was cast in theStarzoriginal drama seriesPower.[11]
In 2020, Sikora portrayed Frank Cosgrove Jr. on the third season of theNetflixcrime dramaOzark,released on March 27, 2020.[12]In 2021, he and his Black Fox Productions company signed a first look deal withLionsgateTV.[13]
