Julie Leeis a singer/songwriter originally fromMarylandnow living inNashville, Tennessee.She is a member of the band Old Black Kettle, withSarah Siskind,and has collaborated withSarah Masen,Ron Block,Mike Farris,Vince Gill,Tim O'Brien,& Kenny Vaughan. Her songs have been covered by a wide range of artists, but most notablyAlison Krausswith "Away Down the River" and "Jacob's Dream" (the story of theLost Children of the Alleghenies) appearing on Krauss' album,A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection(2007). Lee has toured in the UK and US as anAmericana/folkartist. She has opened for Alison Krauss & Union Station at The Historic Ryman Auditorium in 2001 and played her own set at The Newport Folk Festival in 2007.
