Jun Sugiyama[3](Sam sơn thuần,Sugiyama Jun,born October 27, 1992),known professionally asJunya Ikeda(Trì điền thuần thỉ,Ikeda Jun'ya)and formerlyJun Ikeda(Trì điền thuần,Ikeda Jun),is a Japanese actor. Ikeda made his acting debut on the 2007 television dramaOur Textbookand rose to popularity for his role as Gai Ikari / Gokai Silver in the 2011 television seriesKaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.As a voice actor, he portrayed Mitsuru Tenma inEnsemble Stars!and Million Knives inTrigun Stampede.

Under the name Jun Ikeda, at age 14, Ikeda participated in the 19thJunon Super Boy Contest[ja]in 2006 and won second place.[4]Since his appearance in the 2011 musicalKokoro,produced byNiconicoand based on theVocaloidsong of the same name, he changed his stage name to Junya Ikeda.[5][6]

On October 30, 2023, BaRu, Ikeda's talent agency, announced that they had canceled their contract with Ikeda after he was arrested on October 26.[7]The arrest stemmed from an incident on September 26, 2023 where Ikeda had allegedly impersonated a police officer and falsely claimed to a man in his 60s to give him his three cash cards to investigate an unauthorized withdrawal from his bank account.[3]On November 15, 2023, Ikeda was arrested again after it was found that he had reportedly withdrawn¥1.5 millionfrom the victim's bank accounts.[3]As a result of his arrests, his voice was removed fromThe Kingdoms of Ruin[8]andEnsemble Stars!.[9]

Personal life

Ikeda announced in July 2018 that he had been married since 2016.[10][11]His wife, a non-celebrity woman, also had a daughter from her first marriage, born in 2007 or 2008 (age 16–17).[10]In addition, he and his wife had another child in 2018 (age 6–7).[10]
