Career
editRantanen progressed through the youth systems ofIlves,Orimattilan PedotandReipasbefore joiningLahtiin early 2007.[2]Rantanen made his debut in theVeikkausliigaon 11 May 2007 in the match againstHJK Helsinki.[3]
He since left for Slovakia, where Rantanen signed withTopvar Topoľčany.After an unsuccessful stint, he returned to his home clubIlves.For the 2011 season, Rantanen signed with Estonian clubNõmme Kalju.[4]He shortly returned to Ilves for the 2015 season, before retiring from football due to recurring injuries.[5]
