Early life

Anna-Lee was born Layla Machado, inLondon,the daughter of a Brazilian mother[2]and an English father of Irish and Scottish ancestry.[1][3]She appeared in a commercial forFairy Liquidwhen she was six, and attended theSylvia Young Theatre Schoolin London.[4]

Career

Anna-Lee has co-presented the Saturday morning children's cooking-based game showThe Munch BoxforCITV,has presentedNick KicksonNickelodeon,and can also be seen onBBC Bitesizehelping children learn French. She has hostedOK! Insidersince its launch in 2008, presentingred carpetevents and interviewing celebrities for the magazine's website.[1]In 2010, she blogged forOK! Magazine Online,coveringBig Brother 11,which led to her appearing onBig Brother's Little Brother.[1]She also hosted theQueen's Diamond Jubileeparty in front of 20,000 people in Trafalgar Square.[5]

In sports, Anna-Lee was chosen in 2008 to present theBMX European Championshipsfor Eurosport.[6]In 2010, she presentedSky Sports' major road cycling events and National Championships.[4]Her voice was heard by millions around the world announcing theopening ceremonyandbeach volleyball tournamentsat theSummer Olympics in 2012.[4][7][8]Having presented theGoal Lineshow onGoal.com,she was headhunted byMLS's KickTV and hosted their weekly showThe Rumour Millbefore hosting KickTV’s coverage of theConfederations Cupin 2013.[1]She hosted the liveF2 Showduring summer 2016.[9]In 2014 she was in Brazil for theWorld Cupto hostLayla’s World Cupfor KickTv, and during the World Cup also hostedadidas' live World Cup show,The Dugout.[10]She hostedO2 Inside Line,following theEngland rugby union teamin an officialRFUprogramme throughout the QBE internationals and6 Nations.On 23 October 2017, she co-hostedThe Best Fifa Football Awards,alongsideIdris Elba.[11]

Anna-Lee frequently works withRed Bull TV,hosting live coverage around the world, including Airpower live from Austria, Rio Carnival fromRio de Janeiroand theWings for Life World RuninBrasilia.She has hosted regular features onESPN UKand its successorBT Sport ESPN,including theUFCshowUFC ConnectedandCage Warriors.[12]She co-presents the Champions League showadidas Gameday PluswithRoman Kemp,and recently worked withStar Sports Networkanchoring their prime-time football show,Let's Football Live,for theHero Indian Super League.[13]At the2018 World Cup,she presented an online video series forNBC Sports,Layla's Occasionally Unbiased Football Show.[14]

Anna-Lee was named inTime Out Magazine's 2012 Hot 100 list of the most influential creatives in Britain,[15]and in 2013 was named to theFHM100 Sexiest Women in the World.[16]

Personal life

Machado's first marriage was to Richard Cullen in early 2014, with whom she has a son.[1]

Machado married Irish mixed martial artistIan Garryin Las Vegas on 26 February 2022.[18]

In April 2022, it was announced that Machado was pregnant with her second, and the couple's first child.[19]Garry announced they had a son in October 2022.[20]
