Leon Clay Berry(July 2, 1914 - August 23, 1996) was an Americanorganist.He was known in theChicagoarea as the "dean ofroller rinkrock ".[citation needed]A graduate of theAmerican Conservatory of Musicin Chicago, his 1953 recording of "Misirlou"onDot Recordsreached sixth on theBillboardMagazine popularity charts.[1][2]Berry also recorded forAudio Fidelity Records.
