Born inCowdenbeath,Morgan represented Scotland at schoolboy level and played for various Scottishjuniorclubs before joiningDundeein 1931.[3]He represented theScottish Leaguein 1933.[4]Morgan transferred to English sidePortsmouthtwo years later, playing mostly at left back, and he was part of the Portsmouth team that beatWolves4–1 in the1939 FA Cup Final.[5]After theSecond World Warhe joinedWatford,playing 50Football Leaguegames for them before being released on a free transfer.[2][6]Morgan then played forChelmsford City,signing for the club in May 1948.[6]
