Old Malverniansare alumni ofMalvern College,an independent day and boarding school inMalvern, Worcestershire,England that was founded in 1865. Originally a school for boys aged 9 to 18, it merged in 1992 with a private boys' primary school and an independent school for girls to become coeducational for pupils aged 3 to 18.

Many alumni have gained recognition in such fields as the military, politics, business, science, culture and sport - especiallyfirst-class cricketand the eighteencounty cricket clubs.Among the most famous Old Malvernians are spymasterJames Jesus Angleton,former head of the CIA's counter-intelligence;Aleister Crowley,the controversial but influential occultist; actorDenholm Elliott,sportsmanR. E. Foster,the only man to have captained England at both cricket and football; and novelistC. S. Lewis,author ofThe Chronicles of Narnia.Other well-known personalities include businessmanBaron MacLaurin,a former chairman ofTescoandVodafone;Jeremy Paxman,journalist, author, andBBCpresenter ofNewsnightandUniversity Challenge;andBaron Weatherill,the formerSpeaker of the House of Commons.Old Malvernians who have becomeheads of stateorgovernmentinclude the eponymously titledViscount MalvernandNajib Tun Razak,the 6th prime minister of Malaysia. The former was the British Commonwealth's longest-serving prime minister by the time he left office. Old Malvernian Nobel Prize winners includeFrancis William Aston,winner of the 1922 Nobel Prize for Chemistry, andJames Meade,winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1977.
