Marc Sumerak(born 1978 inSolon, Ohio)[1]is a freelance comic book writer fromCleveland, Ohio.He graduated fromBowling Green State Universityin 2000[1]and worked as an editor atMarvel Comicsbefore becoming a freelance writer. His credits include work onAvengers,Thor,Iron Man,Fantastic Four,Black Panther,Captain Marvel,Thunderbolts,Hulk,Sentinel,Agent Xand many more. He was a member of the Marvel editorial team from 1999 to 2003, working alongside editorTom Brevoort.

He is known for his work onMarvel Comics' all-agesPower Packseries (of which he has written seven consecutive 4-issue limited series),[2]as well as theEisner Award&Harvey AwardnominatedFranklin Richards: Son of a Genius(with co-writerChris Eliopoulos).[3]He is also currently providing the English translations forSpider-Man J(featured in the bi-monthlySpider-Man Familyseries). Other pieces he has authored include:Guardians, Marvel Age: Fantastic Four,[4]Machine Teen,Ororo: Before the Stormand more. His first published work as a writer was theAvengers Casebook 1999.He also handled the writing process for the gameMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.[5]
