Maurizio Damilano(born 6 April 1957) is an Italian formerrace walker.He won 15 individual medals (22 also with team events), atseniorlevel, at theInternational athletics competitions.[1]

He was the1980 Olympic Championand the1987and1991World Champion in the20 km race walk.He has 60 caps innational teamfrom 1977 to 1992.[2]

Damilano is also theworld recordholder of the30 km race walkwith the time of 2:01:44.1, achieved inCuneoin 1992. He is the twin brother of the former race walkerGiorgio Damilanoand of the coachSandro Damilano.[3]

In 1999, Maurizio Damilano and Giorgio Damilano foundedFit Walking.
