Biography
editMohammad Najeeb Qasmi is a grandson of Ismail Sambhali who was a hadith scholar and an activist of theIndian Independence movement.[1]Ismail Sambhali was professor ofhadithat theMadrasa ShahiinMoradabadand his students includeAthar MubarakpuriandNizamuddin Asir Adrawi.[2]Najeeb Qasmi studied traditionaldars-e-nizamiat theDarul Uloom Deobandand graduated from there in 1994.[3][4]He received aB.A.fromJamia Millia Islamiaand anM.Ain Arabic from theDelhi University.He completed hisdoctoral studiesat the Jamia Millia Islamia.[5][4]
Qasmi established Al-Noor Public School inSambhal,Uttar Pradesh on 21 December 2018. The foundation stone was laid down by teachers of the Darul Uloom Deoband and Jamia Millia Islamia.[6]His articles have appeared inMonthly al-BayyinatofJamia Binoriaand inJahan-e-Urdu.[7][8]His articles regularly appear inThe Inquilab,The Munsif Daily,The Siasat Daily,Urdu Times,Avadhnamaand other Indian and Pakistani newspapers likeDaily JangandDaily Express.[9][10]He also writes on his website, which was released in a function held inRiyadhon 4 January 2013 by a number of Indian scholars.[11][5][12]Saudi Gazettein its report called the website a brain child of Qasmi.[13]At the launch program, Qasmi said, "Given the popularity of the Internet, many new websites with Islamic names are launched regularly, misinterpreting Islamic teachings. This website provides reliable Islamic content for users".[3]He launched Hajj-e-Mabroor application to help provide accurate information aboutHajjandUmrah.[14]It was released in 2015 in byMuhammad Mustafa Azmi.[15][16][17]The application has articles, books and videos of Qasmi in English,HindiandUrducovering various aspects ofHajjandUmrah.[17][18]In 2019, Qasmi was conferred with the Watan Ke Ratna Award.[19]

editQasmi's set of 38 books was released byMuhammad Mustafa Azmiwhilst his six books were released in Ansari auditorium of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) by the former VC of JMI,Talat Ahmad,Akhtarul WaseyandAbul Qasim Nomani.[20][21]His books include:[22]
