Monty Betham(born 27 September 1952 inSavai'i) was aSamoanprofessional boxer who fought boxers such asTony Mundine,andLance Revillin a professional career beginning in 1973 until 1984.[1]He is the father of formerNew Zealand Warriorsrugby league starMonty Betham.He is also the older brother ofRichard Betham,who won a bronze medal for Western Samoa in boxing at the1978 Commonwealth Games.[2]

In July 1975 he won theCommonwealth middleweight boxing title,after defeating Carlos Marks.[3]he retained the title in February 1976 after defeating Semi Bula.[4]He lost the title toAl Korovouin March 1978.[5]
