Oryonis an 8 to 12-core CPU implementing the ARMv8.7-A architecture featuring a custom microarchitecture designed by Qualcomm.[1]It is used on theSnapdragonX Plus,Snapdragon X EliteandSnapdragon 8 Elitesystems on chips,first released in June 2024.[2]
It began development in 2021 whenNuvia[3]was acquired byQualcomm.
It is the first custom microarchitecture for smartphoneSoCs[4]released by Qualcomm since the originalKryo.
