Early life and education
editPark was born in South Korea and moved with his family toLong Island,New York, when he was about 12 years old.[1]He studied biology atBoston Collegeand worked as a dental assistant post-graduation. Park was later employed at aweb developmentcompany.[3]
The stage name pH-1 is a combination of his name, "p" from his surname Park, "H" from the English name Harry, and "Won" from the Korean name Park Jun-won.[4]

editIn 2016, pH-1 released his debut single "Wavy".[2]In May 2017, he signed toH1ghr Music.[5]In October, he released his debut extended playThe Island Kid.[6]In 2018, he appeared onShow Me the Money 777and gained popularity.[7]In 2019, he released his debut studio albumHALO.[8]In May 2020, he released his debut mixtapeX.[9]In September, he participated in H1ghr Music's compilation albumsH1ghr: Red TapeandH1ghr: Blue Tape.[10]In 2022, he released his second studio albumBut for Now Leave Me Alone.[11]

editpH-1 is known for his melodic "singing-raps".[12]He gets inspiration from a wide range of musical genres: jazz, pop, R&B, and gospel music.[1]
