Pratik Gandhi(born 28 April 1980) is an Indian actor who primarily works inGujaratiandHindifilms, theater, and television. He is best known for portrayingHarshad Mehtain theSony LIVbiographical seriesScam 1992(2020). Gandhi has since starred in the 2024 filmsMadgaon ExpressandDo Aur Do Pyaar.

Early life
editGandhi was born inSuratto parents who wereteachers.He completed his schooling at Pravrutti Vidyalaya in Surat. He studied at Surat where he was involved intheatre arts.[1]He graduated in Industrial Engineering from theNorth Maharashtra University,Jalgaonin 2004. From 2004 to 2007, he worked withNational Productivity CouncilinSataraandPune.[citation needed]He later worked atReliance Infrastructure(cement division) inMumbaifrom January 2008 to 2016.[2][3][4]
Career
editGandhi participated in the Gujarati playAa Paar Ke Pele Paar.He played a role in the Gujarati filmBey Yaar(2014)[2]and in playsMere Piya Gaye Rangoon,Hu Chandrakant BakshiandAme Badha Sathe To Duniya Laiye Mathe.InMohan's Masala,he performed a monologue in three languages, English, Hindi and Gujarati on the same day. He played a lead role in his next film,Wrong Side Raju(2016) which won theNational Award for Best Gujarati Film.[5]His next Gujarati filmsLove Ni Bhavai(2017) andVentilator(2018) were commercially successful.

Gandhi appeared in the 2021 Hindi filmBhavaiwhere he played a lead. The film received mixed reviews.[12][13][14]His next Hindi film wasAtithi Bhooto Bhavawas released in 2022.[15]Gujarati filmVaahlam Jaao Ne(2022) was his next release.[16]
He appears in Hindi filmDedh Bigha Zameen,written and directed by Pulkit.[17]In July 2022, director Hansal Mehta announced a multi-season biographical web series onMahatma Gandhistarring Pratik Gandhi in lead role.[18]
