Çri Maharaja Çri Ragajayawas aBalineseking who ruled in the middle of the 12th century CE.[1][2]The territory of his kingdom most likely covered only the areas north ofLake Batur(North Bali) and East Bali, mainly fromTejakulainBuleleng Regencyto Bugbug inKarangasem Regency.[3][4]The king's name is mentioned on theTejakula inscription,dated to 1077Saka(or 1155 CE).[2][5]In the inscription, the king appointed the village of Sabhaya to do thejataka(tax-free land) for the benefit of a sacred temple,[1]which was named theBhatara ri Kunjarasana.[2]In return, the villagers were granted various rights for the obligations they had to do.[2]

King Ragajaya is estimated to reign after KingJayasakti(1133-1150 AD), and before KingJayapangus(1178–1181 AD).[2][5]The statutes used during his time were calledUttara Widdhi BalawanandRaja Wacana(also calledRaja Niti), which had been used since QueenSakalendukirana's time at the end of the 11th century.[6]
