Russel S. "Russ" Witherby(born February 3, 1962, inCincinnati, Ohio)[1]is an American coach and former competitivefigure skater.He holds USFS Gold Medals in Dance & Free Dance, as well as International Dances. He competed inice dancewith several partners. Russ is the 1992 US Ice Dance Champion. He andApril Sargent Thomascompeted in the1992 Winter Olympics.[1]His other partners includedLois LucianiandSusie Wynne.
He is currently coaching at the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society and Wissahickon Skating Club (WSC), where he is the Director of Figure Skating. Both clubs are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania[2]
