Thesemunciawas anancient Romanbronze coin valued at one twenty-fourth of anas,or half anuncia,produced during theRoman Republicanera. It was made during the beginning of Romancastbronze coinage as thelowest valued denomination.

Romansemuncia,c. 215–211 BC

The most common obverse types were a head ofMercuryor anacorn,and the most common reverse types were a prow or acaduceus.[1]It was issued until about 210 BC, at about the same time as thedenariuswas introduced.
