Sophie Buddleis aCanadianstand-up comedian,[2]originally fromOttawa.[3]She is most noted for her 2019 comedy albumA Lil Bit of Buddle,which won theJuno AwardforComedy Album of the Yearat theJuno Awards of 2020.[4]She was the first woman ever to win the award as a solo stand-up comedian, although it was previously won in 1979 by the mixed-gender sketch comedy troupeRoyal Canadian Air Farce.

Currently a television writer for the sketch comedy seriesThis Hour Has 22 Minutes,[5]she was a semi-finalist in the 2018 edition ofSiriusXM Canada's "Canada's Top Comic" competition.[6]
In July 2023, Little Mountain Gallery, a comedy club in Vancouver, cancelled Buddle's performance after a fellow comic complained about an "offensive" joke she made in 2022 referencing residential schools.[7]
She is in a relationship with comedianMayce Galoni,with whom she cohosts the podcastObsessed.[5]
