Stanley "Stan" / "Mac" McCormick(5 July 1923 – July 1999) was an English professionalrugby leaguefootballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s, andcoachedin the 1960s and 1970s. He played at representative level forGreat Britain,EnglandandLancashire,and at club level forBroughton Rangers/Belle Vue Rangers,Oldham RLFC(World War IIguest),Huddersfield(World War IIguest),St HelensandWarrington,with whom he won the1953–54 Challenge Cup,as awing.[3]and coached at club level forSt. HelensandSalford.[6]McCormick is aSt Helens R.F.C. Hall of Fameinductee.[8]

In January 1949, McCormick joinedSt. HelensfromBelle Vue Rangersfor arecord feeof £4,000 (based on increases in average earnings, this would be approximately £329,600 in 2014),[13][1]he later went on to play forWarrington.[14]
