Stanley Monroe Horton(May 6, 1916 – July 12, 2014),[1]was an AmericanRenewal theologianwithin thePentecostalmovement and the author of numerous books. He served as the senior editorial advisor for theModern English Version Bible,[2]and he wasDistinguished ProfessorEmeritus of Bible and Theology at theAssemblies of God USA,Springfield, Missouri.

His degrees included Bachelor of Science from theUniversity of California at Berkeley,an M. Div. fromGordon-Conwell Theological Seminary,an S.T.M. fromHarvard University,and a Th.D. fromCentral Baptist Theological Seminary.[3]He was an ordained minister in theAssemblies of God.[4]
