Subtiliolithusis anoogenusoffossil eggfrom theNemegt Formationof Mongolia and theOhyamashimo Formationof Japan. The eggs are notable for a very thin eggshell. It contains three oospecies:S. hyogoensis,S. kachchhensisandS. microtuberculatus. They were originally classified as a distinct oofamily, Subtiliolithidae, but numerous similarities toLaevisoolithushave led to their reclassification asLaevisoolithideggs. A complete skeleton ofNanantius valifanoviwas found associated withSubtiliolithuseggshells, indicating that the oogenus represents eggs ofenantiornithinebirds.[1][2][3]
