Sushant Singh(born 9 March 1972) is an Indian actor and television presenter known for his work inHindi cinema.He made his acting debut in 1998 withRam Gopal Varma'sSatyaand gained critical acclaim for his role as the bandit Durgaa Narayan Chaudhary inJungle(2000), for which he won theIIFA AwardandZee Cine Awardfor Best Performance in a Negative Role.[1]

Singh went on to appear in acclaimed films like the period dramasDr. Babasaheb Ambedkar(2000) andThe Legend of Bhagat Singh(2002), further establishing his career in Hindi cinema.[2][3]He has also worked in a few Telugu films likeDubai Seenu(2007). Beyond acting, he hosted the popular crime showSavdhaan IndiaonLife OKandSTAR Bharat.

Singh also served as the Honorary Secretary of the Cine and Television Artists Association (CINTAA) until May 2020, stepping down for personal reasons.[4]He is also an author, having co-written the bookQueens of CrimewithKulpreet Yadav.[5]
