Ted Dent(born November 5, 1969) is aCanadianformer professional ice hockey player and the former General Manager and Head Coach of theFlint Firebirdsof theOntario Hockey League.He was anAmerican Hockey Leaguehead coach for theRockford IceHogs.[1]

Prior to turning professional, Dent attendedSt. Lawrence Universitywhere he played four seasons with theSt. Lawrence Saints men's ice hockeyteam.
On April 25, 2017, the Blackhawks announced that they have relieved Dent of his duties as the head coach of the IceHogs. During his six seasons with the team, he posted a record of 221-179-33-21.[2]
