Hello.I am currently a resident ofLancashire,U.K.I moved back here after living inYamanashi,Japanwhere I was a teacher in the town ofShowa, teachingEnglish Languageandculture,to adults and children from the age of 7. I was anArtteacher and tutor until I left the profession (I still tutor), currently I'm in the much less stressful occupation of personal assistant within the field of carework. I originate fromLincolnshire,Englandin theUK.I am a traveller at heart and I don't intend that to be the last time I work abroad.
My philosophy on life and on wikipedia is 'If you've got it, use it, if you ain't got it then go get it!'
If you want to know more about me personally then go to read my site (mostly a blog) athttp://www.luvlymish.com.I rarely look at my talk page because I'm quite a low activity user of wikipedia so if you want to get in touch with me it's probably best you do so via my website...I may pay more attention to my talk page if I become a more regular Wikipedian.
Feel free to contact me though I may lag in responding.
I first came across Wikipedia inJanuary 2003when I was attempting to write my dissertation. I have been a frequent user ever since.
I made a few anonymous edits inAugust 2003,after I got the results from my dissertation! Then decided I could contribute, particular to articles pertaining to Japan inMarch 2006.
My particular interests in Wikipedia are on subjects pertaining toPaganism,Art,Crafts,Japan,FranceandSouth America.I am aWiccanand I have worked and lived in those countries as well as maintained an active interest in them.
Below I include the interests within which I've made particular contributions to articles and/or created articles.
I lived inJapanfor about two years and have had an academic interest in this country for some time so I have added information to various articles pertaining toJapanandJapanese Culture.Articles I have added anything significant to:Chanpuru,Hiyoku,Kimono,kimono-hiyoku-layering
Not surprisingly as I lived there. I added a few things about local temples and made edits and additions where necessary. Articles I have added anything significant to:Kuonji,Takeda Shingen,Showa,Yamanashi Prefecture
Given that I have been helped byWikipedianumerous time, I intend to keep contributing as long as I feel I have something useful to say. I intend to keep up my contributions toArtspages and those relevant toJapan.I also intend to add things within pages concerningFranceandEcuador.Ideally given my current study of the relevant languages I would like to be able to help translating pages inJapanese,FrenchandSpanish. As apaganI would like to be able to say could add stuff pertinent within that field but there are people far better qualified than I to do that so it's unlikely.
