TheWashington Wavewas an Americanlacrosseteam that competed in the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League and theMajor Indoor Lacrosse Leaguefrom1987to1989.They were based inWashington, D.C.,and played in theCapital CentreinLandover, Maryland.

The team's first coach wasBud Beardmore,a respected former coach who had previously won two national titles with theMaryland Terrapins.Notable players for the Washington Wave includedBrad KotzandFrank Urso.[1]
