Career

Zhang began his career as a stunt actor, notably inCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon(2000)[2]as the stunt double forZhang Ziyi,[3]with whom he later collaborated as a screen actor inMy Lucky Star(2013) andThe Grandmaster(2013). He also starred inRise of the Legendin 2014,SPL II: A Time for ConsequencesandIp Man 3in 2015,The Brinkin 2017,Master Z: The Ip Man Legacyin 2018 andEscape Plan: The Extractorsin 2019. He also appears in a small minor role inPacific Rim Uprising(2018). In 2021, he joined the cast ofreality TV showCall Me By Fireas a contestant.[4]

Personal life

On 12 January 2008, Zhang marriedAda Choi,a Hong Kong actress,[5]they are both Protestant Christians.[6]They have two daughters, Zoe and Chloe. On 15 November 2019, they had a son nicknamed "Le Er".[7]
